EXP Dance provides students from Leeds and surrounding areas with the opportunity to learn modern dance styles in a safe environment that helps develop confidence, self-esteem and friendships.
EXP Dance was founded by Mary F Sanjurgo in the aim of making dance more accessible to all ages and abilities. Experienced in both performing and teaching, Mary aims to provide tutoring that is enjoyable and passionate.
From a very young age Mary has always had a passion for dance, starting at the age of 6, it was the Cathy Carroll Stage School that gave her the first taste of what she would later become a professional in. Since Graduating in 2005 with a BA(Hons) in Dance, Mary has taught, choreographed and performed for a number of prestigious and high profile clients, organisations and events.
Alongside running EXP Dance, Mary is Curriculum Leader of Dance and Musical Theatre at Leeds City College and was featured on Channel 4’s ‘Big Ballet’ last year with Monica Loughman and Wayne Sleep. Mary is always expanding her knowledge of dance by participating in workshops and courses across the UK which enables her to continuously provide fresh and up to date movement in EXP Dance classes.

We offer a range of classes in different styles for dancers of all abilities.
All classes work towards a yearly show during the Winter Season, other performance opportunities offered throughout the year.
All fees are due at the beginning of each term (three x12 week terms per year)
